What Should You Bring on Your Trip
What should you bring on the boat when it’s time for your charter with us? Here is a list of items that we think are essential to make sure you have a good time. We have also included a list of items NOT to bring.
Here’s a suggested list of what you should bring:
- Dramamine – We suggest that you take Dramamine before the trip. Dramamine works better if you take it before you start feeling queasy.
- Small Clean Cooler to bring home your catch
- Lunch or Snacks
- Plenty of Water – Any “adult” beverages should be in cans.
- Sunscreen – Lotion Not Spray-on
- Polarized Sunglasses
- A Hat with Visor
- A sweatshirt and or a windbreaker even if it’s hot at the dock
- Raingear – If it looks like rain or a chance of showers
- Rubber-soled shoes like sneakers. No open-toed shoes.
- Gloves – You might want to bring a pair of fishing gloves
- Camera or cell phone for pictures!
Here’s a suggested list of what Not to bring:
- No drugs of any kind! We have a zero-tolerance policy about drugs on board the boat. That includes marijuana whether you have a medical card or not. Smoking or possession of marijuana on a boat in federally patrolled waters remains illegal, despite the recent legalization of marijuana, gummies, etc. in the state of Massachusetts. Thank you for your understanding.
- Do not bring Hard Liquor. Beer is okay. Drinking is permitted. Being drunk is not. Please understand that the captain will end your trip and return to the docks if he decides that customers are drunk and unable to be safe on the boat. There will be no refund.
- We recommend that you don’t wear any expensive clothing.
- We also recommend no open-toe sandals or flip-flops!
- We don’t recommend bringing your equipment.
